The Izway Bruce is sourced from predominately two vineyards which complement one another beautifully to produce this outstanding Shiraz. The boney, tough red soils found on the hills surrounding Greenock produce tiny bunches and berries resulting in a wine that is highly structured, fine and elegant. The combination of this profile with the dark, rich and concentrated fruit of Koonunga Hill and a small addition of old vine fruit from Moppa produce a wine of great power and structure.

A rich, classically proportioned Barossa Shiraz that has elements of Northern Rhone to it.

Dense inky black colour with a very deep black dark red hue. Potent aromas of dark plums, black cherries and liquorice are overlaid by smoky dried clove like characters with earthy leather, dried meat and spice notes ensuing. Rich, lavish and powerful, the palate is awash with decadent black cherry, dark plum and liquorice flavours which meld into elements of smoky vanillin cedar, subtle fennel, earthy leather, dried meats and spicy pepper. Opulent, meaty like textural feel with firm, well constructed tannins that nonetheless appear quite velvet like and provide the wine with a sturdy underbelly. Magnificent length and depth with an exceptionally long and driving finish.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.9%
