2016 Incygnes Green's Vineyard Shiraz Grenache Mataro

Aged for 18 months in French oak hogsheads of which 30% were new. Midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced black raspberry, black cherry and liquorice aromas fill the nostrils followed by scorched earth, hints of new leather and blackpepper. Rich black cherry and liquorice fruits dominate the full bodied palate with smoky vanillin cedar, earth and blackpepper elements in tow. The plush nature of the fruit backed by ripe chewy tannins which provide structure. Finishes slightly dryish with a long aftertaste that has a sturdy feel to it.
