Totally opaque black dark red core with a dark red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and mulberry are overlaid by cigar box, earth and bay leaf notes. Medium bodied the palate has a refined feel layered with generous blackcurrant and mulberry fruits which meld into spicy cedar, subtle tobacco and dried herbs. Fine grained, dusty tannins with a medium length aftertaste.

A complex wine both in terms of flavour and texture; soft but generous cassis/blackcurrant fruit is the prime mover, coupled with quality French oak. Cabernet tannins are in evidence, as they should be. Drink by 2031.
