A multi district blend with fruit sourced from the Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula. Shows good depth with a bright dark red core and black tinged edges followed by a light red hue. Fragrant ripe cherry, plum and strawberry aromatics laced with subtle anise are followed by some toasty cedar, forest floor and spice notes. Delicious ripe cherry and strawberry flavours are to the fore with a dash of anise, lightly toasted cedar, traces of forest floor and spice also evident. Finishes dry and savoury with good freshness and fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of spicy cherries, strawberries, light anise, delicately toasted cedar and forest floor characters.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews….
Bin No. D672. A blend of Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula grapes, the Yarra Valley component likely to have come from Hardys' Upper Yarra Gladysdale Vineyard. The colour is excellent, bright and positive; perfectly structured and balanced, red and black cherry fruit forward, fresh and strongly varietal. How much will be cellared is anyone's guess, but the patient will be very happy with themselves. Drink by 2033.
