2016 Greystone Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak barriques for 10 months. Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. The expressive nose has perfumed like aromatics of violets mixed with dark plum, dark cherry and anise followed by forest floor, lightly smoked cedar and spice. Rich spicy dark cherry, dark plum and anise flavours are both generous and supple in their feel across the mid weighted palate. Elements of scorched earth, dried meats and smoky cedar sit beneath. Velvet smooth tannins with ample power extending right through to a long finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
