2016 Grant Burge Filsell Old Vine Shiraz

Outstanding colour saturation displaying an impenetrable pitch black core with a deep dark purple black hue. Lifted aromas of dark plum, blackberry and liquorice meld into vanillin oak with spice and light blackpepper end notes. Rich with a plush mouthfeel and medium to full body weight, the palate is resplendent with succulent dark plum, liquorice and blackberry flavours. Sitting beneath the fruit is an undercard of vanillin cedar and spicy pepper. Solidly built tannins firm things up on the finish and provide plenty of structure. Long spicy dark plum, liquorice, blackberry, vanillin cedar and pepper aftertaste.
