2016 Gioiello Estate Old Hill Chardonnay

Fermented in French oak barriques using wild yeast and left to mature on lees for 12 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with a glimmer of green around the edges and a watery hue. Peach and ripe nectarine aromas meld into dried honey, citrusy nougat and lightly spiced cashew notes. Rich fleshy white peach and ripe nectarine flavours prevail over dried honey, citrusy nougat and spice characters. Creamy yet fresh in its feel with a medium length aftertaste of ripe stone fruits, dried honey, citrusy nougat characters, light cashew and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
