Fruit was sourced from the Sexton, Tarraford and Applejack vineyards with maturation taking place in new (20%) and used French oak for 10 months. There was no malolactic fermentation.

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. The nose exhibits aromas of white peaches and nectarines laced with hints of dried honey and biscuity oak followed by faint nougat end notes. Elegant and refined yet with impressive mid palate richness, there’s also a delicate creaminess to the textural profile which will be further enhanced with bottle age. Ripe peach and nectarine flavours intermix with dried honey over some biscuity oak, subtle gun flint infusions and spice. Clean dry finish with a long aftertaste of spicy white peaches, ripe nectarines, dried honey, biscuity oak, nougat and delicate gun flint infusions. A great follow up to the excellent 2015.
