Deep dark red colour with a bright dark red hue. Fragrantly scented the nose offers up a bouquet of ripe dark cherries and plum laced with anise. Toasty cedar, forest floor and spicy dried herbs are also apparent. Light and supple in the mouth with good freshness on the finish the palate sports ripe dark cherry and plum flavours which intermix with some anise, toasty cedar and spice. Velvet like tannins. Good power with an aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, plums, anise, toasty cedar and forest floor.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
As ever, excellent colour; a serious pinot noir, opening with a perfumed bouquet given an extra dimension with subtle French oak. The palate has striking length and persistence thanks to fine-grained tannins running from start to finish. Could well become spectacular over the next 5+ years - I'd be in no hurry to drink it. Drink by 2029.
