Very deep dark red black tinged colour with a bright dark red hue. Elevated scents of ripe red and black currant as well as mulberries evolve from the glass followed by subtle cedary tobacco characters, hints of bay leaf and spice. Medium bodied with an elegant and refined mouthfeel the palate features flavours of ripe red currants and mulberries over vanillin cedar, tobacco and traces of bay leaf. Polished, finely grained tannins. Good length with an aftertaste of ripe red currants, mulberries, vanillin cedar, light tobacco and dried herbs.

Other Reviews….
Brilliant crimson glitters on the rim of the glass. Purity can't be slathered onto or into a wine, it has to be carefully built up like Chinese lacquer. It has to have the right nervosity, as the French say, and it has to have a soul, as we might say, and it more than meets those requirements. Drink by 2036.
