2016 DeBortoli Villages Shiraz Grenache

A blend of 66.5% Shiraz, 25.5% Grenache and 8% Mourvedre with 30-40% whole bunch inclusion in the Shiraz and 10% in the Grenache. Maturation taking place in older 500 litre casks for 9 months.

A juicy, vibrant red packed full of flavour.

Opaque dark purple black colour with a bright dark purple hue. Lifted liquorice aromatics combine with freshly crushed blackberry and dark raspberry over some vanillin confectionary and incense infusions with pepper end notes. Filled with succulent dark fruits the vibrant palate features delicious flavours of blackberries, liquorice, dark raspberries, vanillin confectionary infusions and spicy pepper. Bright acidity chimes in on the finish with finely grained tannins. Long aftertaste of liquorice, juicy blackberries, dark raspberries, vanillin confectionary and spicy pepper.
