Daniel Bouland’s Corcelette typically produces wines of great perfume and finer, rounder tannins. Sourced from vines aged between 50-80 years old the wine is aged in mixture of tank and a 2000 litre foudre.

Excellent depth of colour displaying a deep dark red black tinged core with a bright purple red hue. Perfumed notes of violets, ripe red cherries, strawberries and raspberries flow through the nostrils intermixing with inky earth characters, subtle dried herbs and spice. Elegant and incredibly moreish, there’s an understated richness to the bright cherry and strawberry fruits which are underpinned by some earthiness and dried herbs. Finishes dry and spicy with fresh youthful acidity and fine gravelly tannins. Impressive concentration and power concluding with a lengthy aftertaste of spicy cherries, strawberries, a dash of sour cherries and earthy dried herbs. Irresistibly delicious!

Other Reviews....
Bright magenta. Energetic red/blue fruit scents, along with fresh violet and peppery spice nuances. Pliant and spicy on the palate, offering sweet black raspberry and boysenberry flavors underscored by a smoky mineral quality. Smooth tannins shape the finish, which shows excellent clarity and noteworthy persistence, leaving behind sappy blue fruit and floral pastille notes. I think this must be the most impressive rendition of this bottling that I've ever experienced.
