Matured for 18 months in French oak, 37% of which was new. Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with subtle highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Elevated aromas of ripe white peaches and dried honey are married to cashew, biscuity oak, nougat and spice. Medium bodied with an elegant, creamy feel to the mid palate there’s an understated intensity to the peach, pear and subtle citrus flavours which intermesh with cashew, dried honey, biscuity nougat and spice. Finishes dry with good freshness and length. Long spicy ripe pear, peach, dried honey, cashew, biscuity nougat and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.6%

Other Reviews….
Bright straw-green; a rich and complex wine with good balance between the fruit, oak (62% new and 1yo) and acidity (7.2g/l). The quality of the fruit in barrels selected for this wine (compared to those relegated to Williams Crossing) is clear. The warm vintage hasn't impacted on the high elevation Macedon region. Drink by 2024.
