2016 Credaro Kinship Cabernet Sauvignon

Opaque dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Nosing offers up ripe red currant and mulberry scents followed by subtle cedary tobacco characters, dried herbs and light bay leaf. Medium weight, rich red to blackcurrant flavours intermingle with mulberry over some lightly dusted vanillin cedar, tobacco and spicy dried herb elements. Fine grained, slightly dryish but well integrated tannins. Good depth with a lingering red to black currant, mulberry, vanillin cedar, spicy tobacco and dried herb aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.

The blackcurrant comes cloaked in toasty vanilla and mint. It's sweet and syrupy but it remains fresh, the finish both tannic and cleansing at once. It feels confident at every turn; it drinks well now but it's staring the future in the eye. Drink by 2032.
