2016 Craigie Knowe Estate Pinot Noir

Matured for 9 months in French oak. Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. The nose dispels bright red cherry and winter strawberry aromas followed by hints of violets, some meatiness and spicy herb notes. Elegant and slightly restrained the palate has flavours of fresh red cherries and winter strawberries over earthy meat like characters with a lick of spicy dried herbs on the finish. Good tension with bright acidity and fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of fresh red cherries, winter strawberries, forest floor, some meatiness and dried herbs.
Cellar 5-6 years.
