Other Reviews....
The 2016 Fourcas-Hosten is a blend of 55% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Cabernet Franc. It has a crisp cedar and tobacco-scented bouquet with blackberry and fresh fig emerging in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fresh acidity, supple in the mouth with good weight, but just missing a little complexity on the finish.

Tight and chewy with medium body, medium tannins and a savory finish. Firm yet round and juicy texture. A mineral, wet earth undertone makes it complete.

This wine has a ripe core, rich in black fruit tones and firm tannins. It is a structured wine, but at the same time it has supporting black-fruit flavors at the center. It should age well, and will probably be ready to drink after 2025.
