2016 Castelli Cabernet Sauvignon

A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec matured for 15 months in French oak, 50% of which was new. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced ripe blackcurrant aromas are complimented by hints of mulberry and bay leaf with cedary tobacco characters, subtle black olive and spicy dried herb notes ensuing. Very composed and stylish the palate is flooded with rich blackcurrant and ripe mulberry flavours laced with bay leaf over cedary tobacco elements, dried herbs, black olive and spice. Excellent concentration with seamlessly integrated, polished tannins. Long finish of blackcurrant, mulberry, bay leaf, cedary tobacco characters and spicy dried herbs.
