$239.88 Dozen
Cellar: Drink now - 5 Years (2019-2024)
ABV: 14.5%
Closure: Stelvin

Aged for a period of 12 months in a mixture of new to three year old French and American oak, the favourable 2016 vintage conditions have produced a Bobbie Burns Shiraz with great depth and concentration.

Totally opaque midnight black colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Lifted dark plum and ripe Morello cherry aromas intermix with liquorice, vanillin oak, a hint of fennel and light pepper. Rich and juicy the medium to full bodied palate is awash with ripe dark plum, liquorice and dark cherry flavours which are underpinned by subtlety smoked vanillin cedar, traces of earth and spice. Fine grained velvet like tannins show good integration. Finishes fresh and succulent on the aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews…
An excellent release of this much-loved shiraz. More vibrant than you might expect but still carrying plenty of ripe, berried fruit flavour. Win-win. Red and black berries, ferrous notes, florals and earth. Just-enough tannin. Impeccably well balanced and presented. Drink by 2025.
