Totally opaque black dark red colour with a bright purple dark red hue. Lovely, perfumed aromatics of violets, inky ripe dark cherries, freshly crushed blackberries, a whiff of liquorice, vanillin cedar, faint earth and fragrant herbs seduce the olfactory senses. Relatively tight and inky yet blessed with richness the medium weight palate features ripe dark cherry and inky liquorice flavours over some earth, vanillin cedar and spice. Dry, slightly chalky finish with chewy tannins and bright acidity leading into a medium length aftertaste.

Other Reviews….
Pure, offering blackberry and black cherry aromas and flavors enhanced by violet and boysenberry notes. Firms up, with a hint of earth and dark chocolate gracing the lingering aftertaste. Drink now through 2022.
