Bowen Estate are capable of producing Shiraz that rival some of the best from more renowned Shiraz producing regions such as McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley. Typically they are big and powerful gleaming with rich seductive black fruit.

One of the biggest Bowen Estate Shiraz yet.

Displays superb colour saturation with an inky black core and deep dark purple black hue. Intense inky blackberry, liquorice and dark plum aromas sail out of the glass intermixing with vanillin oak, dark chocolate and spice elements. Massively proportioned the palate is dripping with rich opulent blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruit which over hangs a back drop of black cherries, vanillin oak and spicy pepper. Tight, inky yet opulent mouthfeel with sturdy, firmly built tannins and bright acidity framing the dense fruit. Chewy finish with a very powerful blackberry, liquorice, ripe black cherry, spicy vanillin oak and pepper aftertaste. There’s no finesse or elegance to this Coonawarra Shiraz – it’s all about raw power.
Cellar 6-8 years.
