2016 Beechworth Wine Estates Chardonnay

Matured on lees for 10 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged straw edgings and a watery hue. Pronounced aromas of white peaches, nectarines and dried honey laced with gun flint characters flow out of the glass. Biscuity oak and citrusy nougat characters ensue. Medium bodied with good freshness and a lightly creamed textural feel the palate possesses elegant flavours of white peaches, fresh nectarines and subtle dried honey followed by delicate infusions of gun flint, biscuity oak and light spicy nougat. Clean dry finish with vibrant acidity and an aftertaste of white peaches, citrus, faint dried honey, gun flint and biscuity oak.
