2016 Airlie Bank Franc

Semi translucent purple red colour with a bright crimson purple hue. Aromas of freshly crushed cherries and plum are laced with hints of liquorice, earth and spicy herbs. Light and youthful the palate is driven by fruity flavours of dark cherries, raspberries and plum followed by some light earth and spice. Finishes fresh and dry with soft finely grained tannins. Good length with a vibrant aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, raspberries, dried herbs and spicy earth. The wines savoury fruitiness and soft textural feel make this an ideal summer red.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
