2015 Zema Estate Coonawarra Shiraz

Matured for 14 months in American and French oak hogsheads. Impenetrable black as night core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Filling the nostrils are aromas of ripe blackberry, liquorice and black cherry with some subtle choc mint, earth and spicy vanillin cedar also chiming in. Rich blackberry and liquorice flavours have a plush feel with vanillin oak, dark chocolate and spicy mint elements ensuing. Sturdy yet velvet like tannins provide good structure. Finishes with a medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
