2015 Willow Bridge Estate Gravel Pit Shiraz

Matured in fine grained French oak barrels of which 35% were new. Outstanding colour displaying an impenetrable inky black dark purple core with a deep bright dark purple hue. Pronounced aromatics of liquorice and ripe blackberry overlay vanillin cedar and a subtle meatiness with pepper end notes. Rich and chewy in its mouthfeel the palate dishes up generous liquorice and blackberry flavours which meld into vanillin cedar, some meatiness and blackpepper. The muscular tannins firm up the finish and are quite grippy. Aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, vanillin cedar and pepper.
