2015 Warrabilla Limited Release Parola's Shiraz

Aged in new American oak this wine displays an impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark red black hue. Intense liquorice and black cherry aromas dominate the nose followed by some black plum, lightly charred vanillin oak, earth and spicy blackpepper. Not as dense and powerful as the Parola’s Durif, but by any standards still a bloody big wine, the palate possesses super concentration and a liqueur like textural feel. Luscious flavours of black cherries, liquorice and dark plum team up with toasty vanillin oak, a faint hint of mocha and spice. Superb power and opulence with a velvet smooth, yet solidly built tannin structure and fresh bite of acidity. Very long aftertaste of black cherry liqueur, liquorice, black plums, vanillin oak, a touch of mocha and spice.
