2015 Valdipiatta Tosca Chianti Colli Senesi

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bricky red hue. Lovely aromatics of ripe red cherries and dried cherries laced with herbs overlay earthy old cedar and spice. Savoury red currant and dark cherry flavours fill the mouth underscored by elements of earthy dried herbs, old cedar and spice. Smooth mid palate with good richness to the red fruits finishing with slightly dryish but balanced fine grained tannins and perfectly judged acidity. Spicy aftertaste of ripe red currants, dark cherries, earthy old cedar and dried herbs.
Excellent drinking over the next 2-3 years.
