Two Hands was formed in 1999 with the clear objective of making the best possible Shiraz from Australia’s top producing Shiraz sites. Proprietors’ Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz philosophy is quite simple “From the beginning, we have set out to build a wine company that is different in its approach, one that is innovative and not afraid to think outside the square. We want to put some fun back into wine.” Aged for 12 months in oak of which 6% was new French and the remainder in one to six year old French and American hogsheads.

A lush, juicy style with a lick of fresh acidity on the finish.

Impenetrable midnight black dark purple colour with a deep dark purple black hue. Pronounced dark plum, liquorice and blackberry scents arise from the glass with underlying vanillin cedar and spice notes. Rich succulent fruit flavours of ripe dark plums, liquorice and blackberries cascade their way across the palate in opulent fashion followed by spicy vanillin cedar and a hint of pepper. Plush texture with bright youthful acidity and velvet smooth tannins. Long lusciously fruited aftertaste of dark plum, blackberries, liquorice, spicy vanillin cedar and pepper.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
