This wine takes its inspiration from the bone dry Rosés of Provence, by adopting the traditional French method of Saignée. Produced from bled off juice from freshly crushed old vine Mataro then barrel fermented and aged for 6 months in well seasoned French oak hogsheads. Translucent crimson red colour with a light crimson red tinged watery hue. Nosing reveals aromas of plum juice, ripe red cherries and strawberry confectionary with spicy end notes. Ripe and very spicy the palate has a full rounded textural feel and is generously flavoured with spicy ripe red cherries, plum juice and dark raspberries with the spiciness persisting right through to the dry finish. Long spicy aftertaste of plum juice, dark raspberries and ripe red cherries. A dry, very spicy Rose.
