Totally opaque black dark red core with a dark red hue. The elevated nose is scented with ripe black cherry and liquorice aromas which merge into earthy vanillin cedar, incense, subtle new leather and spice notes. Rich black cherry and liquorice flavours swamp the full bodied palate with an underbelly of scorched earth, spicy vanillin oak, dried herbs and pepper. Chewy, leathery feel with ripe firm tannins. Aftertaste of spicy black cherries, scorched earth, liquorice, leather, dried herbs and pepper.
Cellar 3-4 years.
