2015 Summerfield Reserve Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red black tinged hue. Intense aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries and juicy plums blossom from the glass with underlying scents of vanillin oak, faint clove and spicy pepper ensuing. The palate is rich, supple and concentrated boasting luscious ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum flavours caressing the mouth with a sense of finesse. Underscoring the fruit are nuances of spicy vanillin cedar, subtle infusions of fennel, light earth and pepper. Seamlessly integrated, silky smooth tannins complement the wines opulent texture beautifully. Excellent length with a long conclusion of spicy blackberries, liquorice, dark plums, vanillin cedar, fennel and pepper. A very classy, rich Pyrenees Shiraz of impeccable balance.
Very drinkable now but will also cellar 6-8 years with ease.
