2015 Stage Door Wine Co. Front & Centre Shiraz

Packed with rich dark plum and liquorice fruits this very savoury Eden Valley Shiraz makes for delicious drinking.

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark purple black tinged hue. Prominent ripe dark plum aromas intermix with some liquorice and fennel followed by smoky cedar infusions and spice. Medium to full bodied with a juicy textural feel the palate is flooded with rich, savoury dark plum, blackberry and liquorice flavours infused with fennel. Underpinning the rich dark fruit is smoky vanillin cedar and spicy pepper. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent depth with a long aftertaste of spicy dark plums, liquorice, fennel, smoky cedar and pepper.
Delicious drinking now or over the next 4-5 years.

87% Eden Valley, 13% Barossa Valley, each component from a single vineyard, 10% new oak. A pretty good wine, the fruit more luscious and overt than its Eden Valley sibling. Luscious plum and blackberry fruit has ripe tannins to balance the fruit, and it's still in medium-bodied territory.
