2015 St Mary's Carillon

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Totally opaque black dark red core with a deep dark red hue. Lifted aromatics of ripe red currant, liquorice and choc mint drift from the glass with an undercard of vanillin cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied with a fleshy mouthfeel the palate dishes up a rich flavour profile of juicy red currant, blackberries and liquorice overlaid by spearmint finishing with earthy vanillin cedar and spice. Slightly dryish but otherwise velvet like tannins. Earthy aftertaste of ripe red currants, blackberries, mint and spicy vanillin cedar.
