2015 Scotchmans Hill Chardonnay

Matured in new to 4 year old French oak barriques for 12 months. Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with a slight glimmer of green around the edges and a watery hue. Pronounced aromas of peaches, apricots and honeycomb are followed by lemon butter, cashew and spicy nougat. Medium to full bodied with abundant richness and a very creamy textural feel the palate dishes up flavours of peaches and apricots intermixed with subtle notions of honeycomb and lemon butter over cashew, light nougat and spice. Despite its creaminess there’s good balancing freshness on the finish. Long conclusion of peaches, apricots, faint honeycomb, lemon butter, cashew and spice.
