2015 Scorpo Aubaine Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Nosing reveals lifted scents of fleshy peaches and nectarines overlaid by dried honey, cashew, nougat and spice. Medium bodied with good richness and a lightly creamed yet fresh, elegant mouthfeel the palate sports flavours of ripe white peaches and nectarines married to notions of dried honey with underlying elements of citrusy nougat and spice. Clean dry finish, concluding with an aftertaste of white peaches and nectarines delicately laced with dried honey, biscuity oak, citrusy nougat and spice.

It has a come-hither aspect but the back half is elegant and long. A class act. Beautiful white peach, apple and pear with seamless integration of cedary/spicy oak. Delightful. Drink by 2021.
