2015 Rockbare Barossa Babe Shiraz

Slightly less curvy, yet still incredibly powerful and rich, this is a more muscular Barossa Babe that has very long legs for the cellar.

Matured in French oak hogsheads. Showing magnificent depth of colour the 2015 Barossa Babe displays an impenetrable inky black core and a very deep dark red black hue. Hedonistic aromatics of ripe blackberries, liquorice, dark plums and black cherries sail out of the glass followed by vanillin oak, hints of mocha and spice. Possessing all of her famed richness and power the 2015 Barossa Babe is a more athletic rendition in comparison to some of its curvaceous predecessors. Full bodied the palate is saturated with rich liquorice, black cherry and blackberry fruits that show a surprising sense of freshness to an otherwise opulently textured mouthfeel. Also evident are underlying elements of vanillin cedar, subtle dark chocolate and spicy pepper. The bright rich fruit for the most part concealing a muscly tannin structure and vibrant acidity. Long blackpepper infused aftertaste of liquorice, black cherries, blackberries, lightly smoked vanillin cedar and spice aftertaste.
