Querce Bettina is a family owned and run vine-yard on the southwest slopes of Montalcino, husband and wife team Sandra Barenghi and Roberto Moretti bought the 29ha estate in 1990. Maturation took place in Slavonian oak for 12 months.

Opaque dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Lifted aromas of ripe dark cherries and red currant overlay earthy herbs with hints of tobacco and spicy dried herbs also apparent. Medium bodied yet elegant, rich ripe red currant and dark cherry flavours fill the mouth with an undercurrent of vanillin cedar, earth and spicy dried herbs. Slightly dryish tannins and good balanced acidity provide the framework. Long juicy red to dark fruit, vanillin cedar, earth and spicy herb aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews…
Another 2015 Rosso di Montalcino that shows tobacco, cedar, plum pie and glazed dark cherries. Structured and chewy with tannins that show great bite to them, but it’s the acidity that lifts this off to a vibrant finish. Drink now.
