Bottle
$1680.00 Dozen
ABV: 14.5%

Rabajà produces a quintessential Barbaresco, one of the most complete and balanced of the single vineyards. The vineyard lies between the two main ridges that form the Barbaresco village, one starting at Rabajà and going West towards the Tanaro River (with progressively less calcium and higher fertility in the soil) and the other one that goes from Rabajà to Ovello, South to North (with higher calcium content in the soil).

The meeting of these two different soils give Rabajà its incredible complexity. Bordering both Asili and Muncagota it combines the personality of those two great vineyards with and extra richness due to the South/West warm exposure.

Other Reviews....
The Produttori del Barbaresco 2015 Barbaresco Riserva Rabajà is a stunning wine. The aromas rise from the glass with purpose, clarity and extreme definition. This is indeed a very special wine, thanks to the direct and linear quality of fruit and the elegant tannins that build the long finish. The Nebbiolo grape is elevated to a beautiful plain or plateau, where it shows off its naked beauty in a clear and unobstructed manner. The wine affords us a panoramic view of the Piedmont grape, planted in the white tuffaceous marl soils of Rabajà. Exactly 16,104 bottles were made.

Monica Larner - Wine Advocate (July 2020)

The 2015 Barbaresco Riserva Rabajà hits the palate with a blast of dark cherry, plum, chocolate, new leather, licorice, smoke and spice. Somber and imposing, the Rabajà shows plenty of its typical breadth and body, but, not surprisingly, it is also closed and in need of time. There is good energy here, if not quite the visceral thrill of the very best years.

Antonio Galloni - Vinous

Slight spice box dustiness, raspberry and other red fruits, a touch of liquorice. So svelte and composed, a mineral touch to this, a sweep of sand to the feel of the tannin, and gentle grip and liquorice root flavour on a long finish. Latent potential. Watch it unfurl.

Kirsch and clove-cinnamon spice, green herb and black pepper, faint charry notes and old rose petal – a lovely start. The palate shows a little extra ripeness and width than expected, red currants, meaty characters, back palate swamp of tannin rather than more even presence, but nice as it chews and chomps to close. Beefier, bolder expression.
