2015 Principia Altior Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak for approximately 18 months. Semi translucent bright dark red colour with a light red hue. Perfumed aromas of violets intertwined with ripe red and dark cherries as well as strawberries overlay subtle infusions of anise, clove and spicy cedar. Light in body but intensely flavoured the palate has a supple mouthfeel and dishes up delicious ripe red cherries, dark cherries and strawberries counterpointed against a dash of sour cherries that freshen things up. Some meatiness, clove, faint anise infusions and spicy cedar follow on. Good lively acidity with velvet smooth perfectly integrated tannins. Excellent power wave concluding long with an aftertaste of ripe red cherries, dark cherries, fresh strawberries, traces of sour cherries, some meatiness and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
