2015 Pierro Chardonnay

A very sophisticated and refined Chardonnay possessing an understated richness and exceptional length.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinctive greenish tinge around the outskirts and a watery hue. Scented aromas of white peach and nectarine intermixed with a hint of grapefruit meld their way into some flinty struck match characters and faint dried honey with subtle roasted almond end notes. Elegant and refined yet creamy and rich with a fresh finish, the palate features mouthfilling flavours of fleshy white peaches and nectarines overlaid by dried honey and funky struck match stick characters followed by subtle cashew infusions and spice. Outstanding length finishing with lively acidity and a long persistent aftertaste of white peaches, nectarines, dried honey, struck match stick characters, toasty oak and spice.
