2015 Mr Riggs Cold Chalk Adelaide Hills Chardonnay

A deftly proportioned Adelaide Hills Chardonnay blessed with rich pure white peach fruit, a creamy like mouthfeel and a beautifully balanced fresh finish.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Lifted aromas of white peach are married to dried honey, cashew, lightly toasted biscuity oak and spicy nougat. Medium bodied the palates creamy textural feel is counterpointed by good freshness on the finish. Slightly fuller in the mouth than recent vintages, generous flavours of white peaches, dried honey infusions and cashew meld together over a backdrop of biscuity nougat and a subtle chalky minerality. Refined with excellent length and an understated richness to the fruit. Finishes dry with a long aftertaste of fleshy white peaches, dried honey, cashew, biscuity nougat and a touch of minerality.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
