Deep dark red core with a slight tinge of black to the edges and a light red hue. Perfumed aromas of lightly spiced dark ripe cherries and strawberries with violet overtones are followed by lightly scorched earth and spicy cedar. Light in body the palate possesses juicy dark cherry and strawberry flavours over a small dash of sour cherries, delicate fresh herbs and spicy cedar. Vibrant yet supple mouthfeel with velvety tannins and an aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, strawberries, subtle fresh herb infusions, cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Other Reviews….
The best fruit selected at harvest from the Home Block Vineyard, open-fermented with frequent hand-plunging, pressed after 7 days, matured for 8 months in four French barriques, two new, two used, 99 dozen made. Porongurup has established its pre-eminent position for producing pinot noir in WA, Mount Trio doing its bit with the '14 and now this high quality follow-on. The varietal quality is faultless, the red and black cherry fruit allied with a mouthwatering, long finish. The only issue here is the mere 99 dozen. Drink by 2025.
