Sourced from McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek the ever popular Boxer Shiraz opens with an impenetrable inky black core and a bright dark red black hue. Heady aromatics of liquorice, black plums and ripe black cherries ooze their way out of the glass with underlying toasty vanillin oak and spice notes. Thick, rich and voluptuously textured this flamboyant red is packed with luscious fruit flavours of liquorice, sweet black plums and black cherry liqueur on the front palate with lingering toasty vanillin oak and spicy pepper characters on the finish. Velvet like tannins with a trace of heat evident. Long opulent aftertaste of liquorice, black plums, black cherry liqueur, toasty vanillin oak and spice.
