2015 Louis Jadot Combe Aux Jacques Beaujolais-Villages

Shows good depth with a dark purple black tinged core and bright dark purple hue. Nosing reveals aromas of macerated cherries intermixed with inky earth like characters over some old cedar and spice. Light to medium weight flavours of red and sour cherries meld into some inky earth like characters and spice. Good richness and vibrancy with slightly dryish but fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of ripe red cherries, a hint of sour cherries, earth, some inkiness and spice. From a stronger vintage this Beaujolais shows a touch more weight and richness than lesser years.
