This has alluring aromas of white peach and straw out front, followed by white asparagus, gooseberry and thyme notes. The long, chiseled finish should unwind with modest cellaring. 150 cases made.

The 2015 Perdeblokke Limited Release is a single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, stainless steel for two-thirds of the fermentation with one-third in barrel (neutral French with thick staves). It has that loam, nettle and almost "mulch-like" scent on the pungent nose, a hint of fresh asparagus with time. The palate is well balanced with a slightly raw entry. I would like a little more cohesion here, although the unexpected sweetness that I compared to Japanese sweets, almost akin to mochi, was welcome on the aftertaste. Drink by 2024.
