2015 JJ Hahn Western Ridge 1975 Planting Shiraz

Aged in a mixture of French and American oak barrels. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Uplifted scents of liquorice, dark plum and vanillin oak are drawn from the glass followed by some mocha and spicy scorched earth. Rich and fleshy in the mouth the palate dishes up opulent flavours of ripe dark plum, liquorice and dark chocolate over a back drop of vanillin oak, subtle earth and spice. Plushly textured with silky smooth tannins. Long spicy dark plum, liquorice, dark chocolate and vanillin oak aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
