2015 Jasper Hill Georgia's Paddock Shiraz

Established in 1975 by Ron and Elva Laughton, Jasper Hill are one of Heathcote’s benchmark estates. Maturation of the 2015 Georgia’s Paddock took place in French oak barriques (20% new) for a period of 12 months.

A rich, viscous Heathcote Shiraz with plenty of structure for longer term cellaring.

Superb colour saturation displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark purple black hue. Pronounced aromatics of dark plum, liquorice and blackberries laced with hints of dark chocolate and fennel are followed by vanillin oak and spice. Luscious ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum flavours coat the palate creating a decadent impression with underlying spicy vanillin oak, a touch of dark chocolate and subtle meaty pepper characters. Outstanding power and concentration with the opulent fruit carried by a sturdy yet refined tannin structure. Finishes very long with a ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark plum, dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spicy pepper aftertaste.
