2015 Grosset Springvale Riesling

As the vines of the Springvale vineyard have matured, the roots have hit Mintaro slate buried deep below the limestone, which has according to Jeff Grosset given recent vintages a more mineral profile. Brilliant watery colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of lemon and freshly squeezed lime combine with granny smith apple scents followed by some talc and steely mineral end notes. Fresh, zesty palate flavours of lemon and lime are followed by some delicate orange rind with a dry steely mineral infused finish. Excellent length. Crisp crunchy acidity with a long lemon, lime, subtle orange rind and steely mineral aftertaste. Very steely in structure but not as tightly wound as the Polish Hill. Certified organic.
