2015 Giant Steps Syrah

Opaque dark purple black colour with a youthfully bright dark purple hue. Smoky liquorice and dark cherry aromatics are overlaid by clove and other dried herb nuances with meaty earth like characters and white pepper following on. Medium bodied and elegant the palate possesses good richness with flavours of liquorice and ripe dark cherries married to some clove, a subtle meatiness, vanillin cedar and pepper. Velvet smooth tannins. Long savoury aftertaste of smoked meats, liquorice, dark cherries, clove infusions and pepper.
Cellar 5-6 years.
