2015 Giant Steps Lusatia Park Vineyard Pinot Noir

Semi translucent bright dark red colour with a crimson red hue. Very perfumed nose with aromas of violets infusing dark cherry and strawberry notes over some anise, game meat characters and spicy cedar. Still relatively youthful but with all the ingredients in place to evolve into something great the palate possesses tremendous elegance and richness along with a magnificent power wave that carries flavours of lightly spiced dark cherries and ripe strawberries subtlety infused with anise over a background of meaty characters, lightly earthed cedar and more spice. The finish has a youthful brightness that will soften with time and fully integrate the fruit and fine grained tannins. Long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, strawberries, subtle anise, some meatiness and spicy cedar.
