2015 Evans & Tate Time & Place Dry Red

A new entry level red from Evans & Tate that over delivers in spades. Produced from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz the wine was matured in French oak (18% new) for a period of 10 months.

Opaque bright dark red black colour with a bright dark crimson red hue. Nosing reveals dusty blackcurrant aromas intermixed with mulberries, cedary tobacco characters and spice. Medium bodied the palate possesses good fruit richness with blackcurrant and mulberry to the fore followed by some tobacco infusions and spicy vanillin cedar. Elegant textural feel with a dry finish and finely grained tannins. Good depth with a medium to long aftertaste of blackcurrant, spicy mulberry and cedary tobacco like characters.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
